Established by the former Senior Nursing Officer of Gambia to facilitate the knowledge transfer between trained and untrained nurses. The Foundation that is based in Kanifing, has a capacity for serving 380 students, supporting the teaching of basic medical knowledge, drugs, injections and resuscitation. Many of the graduates are hired directly by the government.

Through the DAIGO partnership, UWE health students have shared their own learning of first aid, health promotion and current information on illnesses common to the Gambia.
