This institution is semi-autonomous, existing  to preserve, promote and develop Gambian arts and culture. Located in Banjul the institution also manages national museums and monuments whilst developing artistic and cultural programmes in the country.

DOAF have worked with the Museum closely over the last two years, keen to support its important use as a learning resource for young Gambians and visitors to the country. The Daigo partnership has led to sharing skills in photography, interior design, curation and copy writing with the staff team. We are also working closely with the museum to develop more opportunities for training and exposing the vast talents of Gambian artists.
